The gearbox was staying in gear, and the synchros, while not perfect, were reasonable. I thought I would just clean it up a bit and peek inside. I found the front input shaft bearing was disinigrating. So I tore it down.

Gearbox Cleaning and Painting
It was a wonderful idea. The gearbox worked well, but it was dirty and leaked. I figured, clean it, paint it and then remove the covers and put in new gaskets. Ha ha ha... this may have been the project that placed me on my 'complete restoration' path.

Clutch Refurbishment
The clutch had plenty of life, but it made no sense to not replace the disc and pressure plate. I also installed the O'Connor modifications to the clutch fulcrum lever.
