  Final brake fluid decision Silicon.JPG - Finally, Fluid in the System and Bled. I really agonized over DOT 3 or DOT 5 (silicon). I finally decided on DOT 5, which meant I had to remove the lines (to be sure, although I had cleaned them once already) flush them and check carefully for leaks. There were two slight ones which I eliminated by tightening a line fitting.
