The steering system was a straight forward rebuild and installation.

Steering Rack Refurbishment Rebuilding the steering rack. I elected to use 80w90 gearbox oil because the channeling possibility of using grease. Oil can leak out, but it provides better ball and socket lubrication. (15 Images)

Steering Wheel Refinishing The steering wheel that has been on the car since before I owned it. It is a lovely wood wheel with aluminum slotted spokes, mated to a very good aluminum crinkle finished hub that can still use the original MG center piece. (10 Images)
